Introduction to Nei Jinfen Congee

When I was a child, I had a bad stomach. I was always picky about food and never felt hungry. My grandmother saw this and was very worried. She asked people for treatment methods. Later, my grandmother got a recipe for Astragalus and Inner Gold Porridge. She often made it for me to drink. She also helped me massage my stomach before going to bed at night, rubbing 50 times in clockwise and counterclockwise directions. Slowly, my stomach got better. Since then, my grandmother always kept the inner gold after slaughtering the chicken, dried it, and kept it for later use.

The specific method is: 20 grams of astragalus, 10 grams each of coix seed and red bean, 5 grams of chicken gizzard lining, and 80 grams of glutinous rice. Add appropriate amount of water to astragalus and boil for 20 minutes, remove the residue and take the juice, use this juice to cook porridge with coix seed, red bean and glutinous rice. When the porridge is almost ready, add chicken gizzard lining and cook for a while. Astragalus and glutinous rice nourish the middle and replenish qi; coix seed strengthens the spleen and removes dampness; red bean removes dampness and jaundice, clears heat and detoxifies; chicken gizzard lining helps digestion and strengthens the spleen.
