Gardenia porridge benefits

It is mainly used for fever, restlessness, jaundice, stranguria, red eyes, sore throat, hematemesis, epistaxis, hematuria, bloody diarrhea, sores and swelling. Raw Gardenia is used externally to treat sprains and swelling.

This medicine is commonly used in the following traditional prescriptions: ① Gardenia and Douchi Decoction (Treatise on Febrile Diseases): Gardenia and Douchi, used to treat sweating caused by typhoid fever, vomiting and diarrhea, and insomnia due to deficiency; ② Gardenia and Rhubarb Decoction (Synopsis of the Golden Chamber): Gardenia, Rhubarb, Citrus aurantium, Douchi, used to treat jaundice caused by alcohol and depression; ③ Gardenia and Cortex Phellodendri Decoction (Treatise on Febrile Diseases): Gardenia, Phellodendron, Licorice, used to treat jaundice and fever caused by typhoid fever; ④ Gardenia and Kernel Decoction (Standards for Symptoms and Treatments): Gardenia, Scutellaria, Gypsum, Anemarrhena, Isatis, Cimicifuga, Bupleurum, Apricot, Red Peony Root, Licorice, used to treat high fever, irritability and delirium.

Gardenia porridge benefits

The injection of gardenia water extract, crocin and crocetin into rabbits can significantly increase bile secretion and significantly contract the human gallbladder. It can also significantly reduce bilirubin in the blood and peripheral lymph fluid, and promote the rapid excretion of bilirubin in the blood.
