The difference between cherries and cherries

The difference between cherries and cherries

Cherries and cherries are both fruits that people like to eat. They are delicious, nutritious, can replenish qi and blood, and can also beautify the skin. In many cases, people think that cherries and cherries are the same fruit. In fact, although they are both cherries, they are not the same fruit. There are also obvious differences between the two. Let me show you what the differences are between them.

1. Appearance

There is a clear difference between cherries and cherries in appearance. Cherries are mostly orange-red and translucent, and their texture is soft. They are easy to deteriorate, and the fruit stalk is relatively short. Cherries are mostly dark red, and there are also bright red ones. They have a larger diameter, and fresh cherries are harder, and the fruit stalk at the bottom of the fruit is also relatively long.

2. Taste

Cherries and cherries are both members of the cherry family, but the cherries people often refer to are some small cherries, while cherries are mostly large cherries imported from the United States. They have obvious differences in taste. Cherries taste sweet and sour and have a soft and glutinous texture, while cherries are sweeter and have a crisper and tenderer texture.

3. Save time

There is also a clear difference in the shelf life between cherries and cherry fruits. Cherries are a more delicate fruit and have a shorter shelf life. Most of the time, they must be eaten on the same day they are purchased. The longest shelf life is no more than three days. Cherries, on the other hand, have a longer shelf life and can be kept in the refrigerator for 7 to 10 days without deteriorating.

4. Time to market

There is also a significant difference in the time when cherries and cherries are put on the market. Cherries are mostly produced in China and have relatively weak cold resistance. This fruit is mostly available in large quantities around May each year. Cherries are mostly produced in the United States and are particularly seasonal. They are only ripe and available in mid-June each year. After this time, you can only eat fresh cherries next year.
