Cultivation methods and pest control of jujube trees

Jujube trees can not only live in nature but also be made into potted plants and cultivated in residents' homes. Now, with the improvement of people's living standards, dwarfing cultivation of fruit trees has become very common. Bonsai made of jujube branches is also very popular. So how should jujube trees be cultivated? How to prevent diseases and pests during cultivation?

How to cultivate jujube trees

1. Soil

When cultivating jujube trees, it is not strict about the soil, but it is best to choose loose and fertile soil with good air permeability and strong water retention. You can choose four parts of garden soil, two parts of humus soil, two parts of sandy soil and two parts of manure, mix them together to make potting soil, and then plant the jujube seeds in it.

2. Humidity and temperature

The jujube tree is a plant with strong vitality. It is resistant to drought and waterlogging. However, between May and June every summer, it should be watered more often and sprayed appropriately. This will make the jujube tree grow more vigorously. The jujube tree grows fastest when the outside temperature is between 24 and 26 degrees. When the temperature reaches 35 degrees, it will stop growing.

3. Sunlight adjustment

When growing a jujube tree, you must pay attention to the regulation of sunlight, because the jujube tree is a habitual plant, but it is afraid of strong light. When you usually grow it at home, you can place it on a balcony with good lighting, but after entering summer, you must move it to a room with good scattered light, because under strong light the leaves of the jujube tree will turn yellow and the fruits will fall off, which will affect its ornamental value.

Prevention and control of diseases and insect pests of jujube trees

Jujube rust is very common during the cultivation period. This disease mostly occurs from July to August. After the disease occurs, light green spots will appear on its leaves and fruits. In severe cases, they will turn into dark brown and protrude upwards. Finally, these diseased leaves and fruits will fall off. In the future, the best treatment is to spray Bordeaux or Ludebao. In addition, if you want to reduce the occurrence of this disease, you can collect fallen leaves in winter and burn them all, which can effectively reduce the source of the disease.
