1. How to eat hawthorn slices: cooking porridge

Step 1: First wash the raisins, then soak the red dates in water for about ten minutes.

Step 3: Put glutinous rice into a casserole, add water, bring to a boil over high heat and then simmer over low heat for twenty minutes.

Step 4: When the porridge becomes thick, add the lotus seeds and cook together.

Step 5: Chop the hawthorn cake into small pieces and add them to the porridge and cook together. Hawthorn cake is easy to stick to the pot, so stir it frequently with a spoon.

Step 6: After the red dates are soaked, they can be put into the porridge and stewed. It is also appropriate to remove the red date pits in advance.

Step 7: After the hawthorn cake is melted by heat, it will be integrated into the porridge. The white porridge will take on the color of the hawthorn cake.

Step 8: Add the previously washed raisins and an appropriate amount of osmanthus.
