How to make homemade apple cider at home

Ingredients for homemade apple cider

When making cider at home, you need to prepare three to four large apples, about 500 grams of rock sugar, an appropriate amount of rice wine and a large glass bottle.

Steps to making homemade apple cider at home

1. Wash the prepared glass bottle with clean water, drain the water, wash the apples with clean water, and then remove the water on the surface of the apples.

2. Cut the apple in the middle, remove the core, and then cut into thin slices. Remember that when making cider, the apple peel must not be removed.

3. Place the sliced apples in a layer in the glass bottle, then add a layer of rock sugar, and repeat this process until the bottle is full layer by layer. Finally, seal the bottle.

4. Place the sealed bottle in a place with a temperature of 25 to 30 degrees for fermentation. After three days, you can see bubbles appearing in the bottle. The number of bubbles will slowly increase, reach a peak and then slowly decrease until all the bubbles disappear. The apple fermentation is complete.

5. Take out the fermented apples and filter them. Put the liquid in a clean bottle and add the prepared rice wine to mix well. After two months of storage, you can take it out and drink it. You can drink it without adding rice wine, but its storage time will be much shorter.
