Homemade strawberry jam tutorial

I believe that everyone must be familiar with strawberries, but most of this understanding may only focus on the fruit effects of strawberries themselves. In fact, many times, the uses of strawberries are becoming more and more extensive, and various strawberry products have appeared one after another. The strawberry jam that I want to introduce to you is a kind of jam made from fresh strawberries. The advantage of strawberry jam is that it is sweet and fragrant, and it inherits the taste of strawberries. And it is natural and additive-free, unlike some jams sold outside, which will add some chemical additives. So learning how to make the strawberry jam that I will introduce next can satisfy the eager hearts of foodies. Let's learn about it together.

Homemade strawberry jam tutorial

1. First, rinse the fresh strawberries in clean water for 5 minutes to ensure that the dirt and other dirt on the surface of the strawberries are washed away. Then soak the rinsed strawberries in salt water and wait for half an hour before taking them out. This ensures that the bugs inside the strawberries or some pesticide residues on the surface are fully washed away and will not affect our health after being eaten.

2. Drain the soaked strawberries, remove the stems, cut the strawberries in half, put them into a pot and steam, then add an appropriate amount of lemon juice and stir. Remember to stir at a constant speed and not too hard, otherwise the strawberries may be mashed. This cutting method can ensure that the flavor of the lemon juice fully penetrates into the strawberries, allowing the fragrance of the strawberries and the taste of the lemon to blend, adding flavor to the strawberry jam.

3. Add an appropriate amount of honey to the pot, stir and cook. When the time is almost up, add a small amount of rock sugar and wait until the strawberry jam is thick. Finally, take out the strawberry jam while it is still hot and put it into a sealed glass jar. Wait until it cools down before eating. Of course, you can also store it in the refrigerator, which can not only extend the shelf life of the strawberry jam, but also make the strawberry jam taste better.
