The origin of cherry tomatoes

Legend has it that during the reign of Emperor Wu of Han, one early autumn, Emperor Wu fell seriously ill and could not get up. The imperial physician had no medicine to cure him, so the concubines in the harem were all worried about it. One day, the maid Sheng was playing in the garden and saw a rabbit. She chased the rabbit into the depths of the garden and suddenly found a fiery red fruit on a low plant. Sheng hurriedly picked it and showed it to the imperial concubine. The imperial concubine did not know what it was, so she asked the imperial physician. The imperial physician had never seen it before. So she heard the voice of Emperor Wu of Han in confusion, so she put the red fruit on the table. Who knew that after a breeze, the red fruit turned into a wisp of green smoke, swaying and drifting into the bedroom of Emperor Wu of Han. Not long after, Emperor Wu of Han recovered from his illness. No one knew why, and no one remembered the red fruit. Only Sheng kept thinking about it, but later she could not find it. In the early autumn of the following year, the garden of the harem was filled with such fruits. Emperor Wu of Han learned that the fruit was discovered by the sage, so he named it "cherry tomato". However, to this day, no one knows that this small cherry tomato can actually cure diseases.
