Can aloe leaves survive by cutting? Aloe cutting cultivation method and steps

Aloe vera is the most popular green foliage plant in life. This plant can not only beautify the skin, but also beautify the environment and purify indoor air. Moreover, it has strong vitality and is easy to cultivate. But over time, people are no longer satisfied with simply cultivating aloe vera, but also want it to reproduce as soon as possible. So, can aloe vera survive if it is directly cut after the leaves are removed? What is the cutting method?

Can aloe leaves survive by being planted?

Aloe vera is a plant with particularly strong vitality. If the leaves are cut and directly inserted into the flower pot, it will survive. It will take root ten days after insertion and grow new leaves in about twenty days. However, there are also certain methods and techniques for inserting aloe vera leaves directly into the soil. If the operation is not done well, its survival rate will also decrease.

Aloe vera cutting cultivation method steps

1. When propagating aloe vera by cuttings, you must choose its sturdy leaves. It is best to cut the strongest leaves from the outermost part of the aloe vera, and keep its length of 8 to 10 cm. After disinfection, cut it with clean scissors. When it comes to aloe vera leaves, you cannot cut them directly. You should dry them in the shade first, and then proceed to the next step after the incision.

2. When propagating aloe vera by cuttings, you must prepare the flower pots and potting soil in advance. It requires soil with super permeability, so there must be holes at the bottom of the flower pot, and the prepared potting soil must be loose and fertile with good water permeability and air permeability.

3. After the above preparations are done, insert the dried aloe leaves directly into the soil of the flowerpot to a depth of about three centimeters, keep the leaves upright, then water them sufficiently and place them in a cool environment to slow down the growth. New roots will grow from the bottom of the leaves in about ten days, and a new aloe plant will grow in about a month. At this time, you can move it to a suitable environment for maintenance. As long as the conditions are right and there is enough water and fertilizer, it will soon grow into a large aloe plant.
