Milan flower cultivation methods and precautions

Milan is an evergreen ornamental plant. The leaves and flowers of this plant are very small, but the fragrance is very strong when it blooms. It is especially suitable for indoor cultivation. It’s just that people don’t know how to cultivate it. They don’t know how to grow Milan well. The following editor will introduce some knowledge about the cultivation of Milan. If you like this plant, you can focus on it.

1. Replace the potting soil in time

Milan is an ornamental plant with a particularly developed root system. It has many fibrous roots, which need to absorb rich nutrients during the growth process. At this time, its potting soil must be rich in nutrients. In addition to timely fertilization, new potting soil must also be replaced in time. Under normal circumstances, the pot should be changed once a year, and when changing the pot, not only should sufficient base fertilizer be applied, but also an appropriate amount of wood ash should be added, so that the potting soil is fertile and there will be no water accumulation.

2. Water correctly

When growing Milan flowers, you must water them correctly. Although this plant likes a humid environment, you should not water it excessively, especially not allowing water to accumulate in the flowerpot, otherwise its roots will rot. In addition, stop watering the Milan flowers before they are about to bloom, which can encourage them to bloom earlier and extend their flowering period.

3. Apply fertilizer correctly

Fertilization is also a critical step in the cultivation of Milan flowers. Under normal circumstances, this plant needs to be fertilized 1 to 2 times a week. You can choose dilute organic fertilizer, but when its flower buds spread, you must apply phosphorus fertilizer in time. This can not only prolong the flowering period, but also make the flower color bright. In addition, after the flowering period of Milan flowers, you must also apply organic fertilizer once in time, so that you can replenish the consumed nutrients in time.

4. Adequate lighting

Milan likes plenty of light and usually needs to be grown in a sunny environment. A too cool environment will cause its branches and leaves to grow too long, and will reduce the number of its flowers and make their fragrance fade. However, this plant is also afraid of direct sunlight in the hot summer weather, so it is best to move it to a cool environment around noon.
