Cultivation methods and precautions of daffodils

Narcissus is a common green plant for beautifying the home. Its dark green leaves and white petals are particularly beautiful. It can not only beautify the environment but also purify the air. But how should daffodils be raised? I will write down all the cultivation methods and precautions of daffodils and share them with you.

How to grow daffodils

1. Select bulbs

Usually, daffodils are grown as bulbs, and selection is very important. When choosing bulbs, you must choose large, flat and hard bulbs. It is best if the membrane in the middle is very tight and the skin is shiny. Such bulbs are easy to survive.

2. Growth environment

When growing daffodils, the growing environment is very important. Daffodils are ornamental plants that like warm sunshine and high humidity in the air. They have poor cold resistance and are afraid of heat. When growing daffodils at home, it is best to place them on the balcony. In hot summer weather, they should be shaded and the leaves should be sprayed with water in time to increase the humidity in the air. In winter, the daffodils should be moved to a warm room.

Precautions for growing daffodils

1. Pay attention to diseases and pests when growing daffodils

When growing daffodils, you must pay attention to the occurrence of diseases and pests. Leaf blight, aspergillosis and penicillium are all common diseases of daffodils. Once these diseases occur, they will directly affect the flowering period of daffodils, and in severe cases will cause the death of daffodils.

2. Pay attention to temperature control when growing daffodils

Most daffodil bulbs will bloom as scheduled after 45 to 50 days of cultivation, but you must pay attention to temperature control during the cultivation period, allowing it to receive more than six hours of light a day, and the temperature must be maintained between 10 and 15 degrees. Insufficient light or poor temperature control will affect the flowering time of daffodils.
