How to cultivate osmanthus fragrans

1. Soil

It is best to grow Osmanthus fragrans in loose, fertile sandy soil that is rich in humus.

2. Watering

Osmanthus fragrans is drought-tolerant, so there should not be any water accumulation in the pot. When there is continuous rainfall, the pot should be turned upside down or placed in a sheltered place. If you water too much, it will often cause root rot.

3. Sunlight

Osmanthus fragrans should be placed in a sunny and well-ventilated place so that it can have lush leaves and numerous and fragrant flowers. It can be moved to the windowsill after flowering, and it needs to be placed in a sunny place after the flowers fade. It should also be moved indoors in winter, or placed in a sunny place.

4. Temperature

The most suitable temperature for the growth of Murraya is 20℃ to 32℃. Murraya is not cold-resistant. When the lowest temperature in winter drops to about 5℃, it should be moved indoors. The indoor temperature is preferably between 5℃ and 10℃. Murraya may freeze to death if it is below 0℃, and the room temperature cannot be too high, otherwise Murraya cannot dormant well.

5. Pruning

In spring, you can plant or repot and prune. Do not prune hard during the flowering period to avoid affecting the viewing experience.
