How to cultivate jade tree

1. Potting soil

Early spring is the best time to change the potting soil and plant. The potting soil should be loose, fertile and well-drained. It is recommended to use 2 parts of leaf mold or peat soil, 2 parts of garden soil, 3 parts of coarse sand, 1 part of limestone gravel, or 3 parts of leaf mold, garden soil, coarse sand, 1 part of bone meal and 1 part of plant ash as the potting soil.

2. Temperature

The most suitable temperature for jade plant growth is between 20 and 30 degrees.

3. Watering

The best frequency of watering jade tree is once every two to three days. There should be no stagnant water, but the soil in the pot should also be kept from being too wet.

4. Fertilization

Jade plant needs proper fertilization during its growth period. Apply decomposed thin cake fertilizer 2-3 times a month. Apply sufficient basal fertilizer before changing soil or planting. Decomposed organic fertilizer, such as chicken manure, pigeon manure, bone meal, manure and urine, and various cake fertilizers can be added to the culture soil as basal fertilizer. In order to keep the plant full, the fertilizer and water should not be too much to avoid causing leggy growth.

Precautions for breeding of jade tree

(1) Jade plants grow very fast and need to be repotted every spring, with fertile soil added and placed in a sunny location for maintenance.

(2) It is recommended to apply thin fertilizer and water every 10 days or half a month, and water every 2 to 3 days.

(3) Stop fertilizing in summer and pay attention to ventilation to prevent the leaves from turning yellow and falling off. If it rains heavily, avoid heavy rain to prevent water accumulation at the roots and root rot and death.
