How to propagate Venus flytrap? How to plant Venus flytrap?

1. Venus flytrap can be cut into leaves

Leaf cuttings are one of the common propagation methods of Venus flytrap. When needed, you can take its leaves from the mother plant, insert them obliquely on a clean substrate such as sphagnum moss, and maintain appropriate humidity and mild sunlight. After about two months, it will grow new shoots.

2. Venus flytraps can be propagated by division

Division propagation is also one of the important propagation methods of Venus flytrap. This plant will grow some side buds during the growth process. When the side buds grow big enough, take them down and insert them directly into new flowerpots. Water them with enough water and place them in a cool place to slow down the growth of bacteria. After about twenty days, the side buds will take root and a new Venus flytrap will appear.

3. How to grow Venus flytrap

When growing Venus flytraps, loose and fertile soil is needed, and there must be sufficient water during the growth period. You can usually put some moss on the surface of its flowerpot to reduce water evaporation. In addition, Venus flytraps like semi-shaded environments and cannot be placed under strong light, especially in summer. They should be placed in a cool and ventilated environment, and the leaves should be sprayed with water in time, otherwise its leaves will turn yellow and its fly catching effect will be significantly reduced.
