Clivia cultivation method and precautions for cultivating Clivia

1. Soil selection for Clivia

Clivia originally grew in the forests of Africa and prefers loose and fertile humus soil. When growing it at home, you can mix humus, clean sand and fine ash in a ratio of 3:2:1, and the soil moisture should reach about 40%.

2. Clivia's requirements for fertilizer

Clivia is a plant that likes fertilizer. Solid fertilizer can be applied to it once every winter. At other times, water fertilizer is mainly applied. Phosphorus fertilizer and potassium fertilizer should be properly matched during fertilization. However, it should be noted that raw fertilizer that has not been fermented well cannot be applied to Clivia, otherwise it will cause root rot or death.

3. The growth environment of Clivia

If you want to grow Clivia well, its growth environment is very important. This plant likes to grow in a cool environment with semi-shade. High temperature, strong light and dry conditions are not conducive to the growth of Clivia. Clivia grows fastest when the outside temperature is between 15 and 25 degrees. When the temperature drops below 5 degrees, it will stop growing.
