Introduction

I went to Haikou on a business trip and had the local crab porridge. I thought it was super delicious. Not long after I came back, I couldn't stop craving for it. Since there is no good place in the north where I can drink this kind of porridge, I thought about making it myself.

The efficacy and function of Chaoshan crab porridge

1. Relax muscles, replenish qi, regulate stomach and help digestion

Chaoshan crab porridge has the effects of relaxing muscles and replenishing qi, regulating the stomach and digestion, unblocking meridians, dispersing heat and blood stasis. Crab meat is salty and cold in nature, and has the functions of clearing heat, dispersing blood stasis and nourishing yin. It can treat bruises, tendon injuries, fractures and allergic dermatitis.

2. Hypertension, arteriosclerosis, cerebral thrombosis, hyperlipidemia

Chaoshan crab roe porridge is made of calcined crab shell ash, mixed with honey, and applied externally to treat wasp stings or other unknown swellings. Crab meat has a good effect on hypertension, arteriosclerosis, cerebral thrombosis, hyperlipidemia and various cancers.

How to make Chaoshan crab roe porridge

Method 1

1. Crabs and shrimps

2. Clean the crabs, set one aside and break it into two pieces

3. Take the meat from the other two

4. Soak the rice in advance, boil the water in the pot, put in the soaked rice and cook for about 30 minutes

5. Add cooked corn kernels after cooking for 30 minutes

6. Then add the processed crabs

7. Add shredded ginger and crab together

8. Continue cooking for 5 minutes, then add shrimp and crab meat. Turn off the heat when the shrimp and crab meat are cooked.

9. Finally, add salt to taste and sprinkle some chopped green onions before serving.

Method 2

1. Clean the crabs and cut them into large pieces.

2. Stir-fry scallions and ginger in a wok.

3. Then put it into a soup pot, add boiling water and boil it, then add rice and cook together.

4. After the rice is fully popped, wash the shrimp and put them into the pot.

5. After the porridge is fully cooked, add some green vegetables, sprinkle with chopped green onions (if you don’t like it, you can completely skip the green vegetables), and add salt.

6. Sprinkle some pepper when eating, it tastes super good.
