Aloe vera gel can hydrate the skin and beautify the skin, so it is the favorite skin care product of many people. As we all know, aloe vera gel is a natural substance extracted from the plant aloe vera. Some people have aloe vera at home and want to make aloe vera gel by themselves. So how to make aloe vera gel? Next, I will write down the method of making aloe vera gel and share it with you.

How to Make Aloe Vera Gel

1. When you make aloe vera gel at home, you need to prepare fresh aloe vera leaves and a certain amount of carbomer, then prepare purified water or distilled water, and also prepare an appropriate amount of chamomile hydrosol. If there is no chamomile hydrosol, take out the aloe vera flesh and distill it. After obtaining the aloe vera hydrosol, proceed to the next step.

2. Wash the prepared fresh aloe vera leaves, use a knife to peel off the green skin on its surface, get the white gel-like pulp inside and soak it in clean water for an hour. After soaking, take it out and put it in a food processor or juicer to make it into a paste. Finally, filter the aloe vera juice and put it in a fresh-keeping box, seal it and put it in the refrigerator for freshness.

3. Put the prepared hydrosol and carbomer together, mix well and let it stand for two hours. During this process, the carbomer will completely melt and you will get a relatively viscous hydrosol. Then use pH test paper to test its pH value. You can add baking soda to adjust its pH concentration. Wait until the pH value reaches about seven.

4. After the pH value stabilizes, put the prepared aloe vera juice directly into the gel and stir it. After stirring evenly, you can get the finished aloe vera gel. If you want the aloe vera gel to last longer, you can also add an appropriate amount of antibacterial agent during the production process. You can also put the finished aloe vera gel in the refrigerator for storage, and take it out directly for use when you need it.

The above introduces the detailed method of making aloe vera gel, so that everyone knows how to make aloe vera gel. If you are interested and want to use the aloe vera gel you made yourself, just make it according to the method introduced above. However, when making aloe vera gel, it is best to use the fleshy Curaçao aloe vera. The aloe vera gel made from this kind of aloe vera will be of particularly good quality.
