How to grow mung beans

Materials for Mung Bean Sprouts

When you use mung beans to sprout at home, you need to prepare 300 grams of new mung beans, an appropriate amount of clean water, a plastic basket that can drain water, and a piece of clean gauze.

Specific steps for growing mung bean sprouts

1. Pick out the prepared mung beans, take out the bad ones, then put them in a basin and add clean water to soak them. The soaking time should be about 24 hours.

2. Take out the soaked mung beans and place them in the prepared colander, let the water flow out from the bottom, then soak the prepared gauze in clean water and cover the mung beans directly.

3. After completing the above preparations, place the colander in a dark place to allow the mung beans to grow naturally. Then take out the gauze on top every day, pour clean water on it, and then cover it to keep the mung beans moist. If the mung beans are too dry, you can also sprinkle an appropriate amount of water on the gauze.

4. During the period of mung bean sprouting, you should throw gauze three to four times a day. After about four days, the mung bean sprouts will grow to two to three centimeters. After five to seven days, the mung bean sprouts will be well grown. When you want to eat them, take them out, wash them and cook them according to your taste.
