They appear flat and wide on the outside, and when you smell them, the bean smell of lentils is much stronger than that of peas.

2. The difference between peas and lentils in eating

When people eat peas, they mainly eat its fresh young pods, which can be fried or eaten cold. When people eat lentils, they mostly eat its seeds, which are mostly used to cook porridge or stir-fry. Its seeds are light yellow in appearance and have a faint luster, but the texture is very hard, which is a characteristic that peas do not have.

There are also obvious differences in the effects of peas and lentils. Peas are a nutritious vegetable that can provide the human body with a variety of nutrients. Lentils not only have this characteristic, but are also a special existence that can be used as medicine. After being used as medicine, they can nourish the spleen and stomach, remove dampness and detoxify, and have a good regulating effect on human hypertension and hyperlipidemia. In addition, lentils are also a natural anti-cancer food, while peas as a vegetable have no anti-cancer effect. This is also the most important difference between the two.
