Introduction to Chili Pepper

Chaotian pepper is a general term for peppers with the fruit facing upward (upward or obliquely upward). It is classified according to the state of fruit attachment, including four of the five varieties of pepper cultivation in plant taxonomy: cluster pepper, cone pepper (small fruit type), long pepper (short finger shape), and cherry pepper. The fruits of Chaotian pepper are all small, so they are also called small peppers. The characteristics of Chaotian pepper are small fruit, high spiciness, and easy to dry. It is mainly used as a dried pepper variety. Together with Yangjiao pepper and Xian pepper, it constitutes the three major dried pepper variety series in my country. In the national dried pepper cultivation area, Chaotian pepper has jumped to the first place.

Pepper origin

The chili pepper originated in Thailand, and later the pepper seeds were introduced to China, and several varieties of chili pepper were cultivated.

Distribution of Chili Pepper

Pepper is cultivated in most parts of my country, with Guangxi and Hebei having the largest cultivation area, followed by Guizhou, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Tianjin, Anhui, Shandong, Inner Mongolia, and Sichuan, Hunan and other provinces and cities. The main production areas in Hebei Province are Jizhou City, Zaoqiang County, Gucheng County, Jing County of Hengshui City, Wangdu County of Baoding City, Jize County and Yongnian County of Handan City, Pingxiang County of Xingtai City, etc.; the main production areas in Tianjin are Baodi District and Jinghai County, etc.; the main production areas in Anhui Province are Bozhou City, etc.; the main production areas in Shanxi Province are Yuncheng City, etc.; the main production areas in Guizhou Province are Zunyi City, etc., and the most important one is Sunlaojia Town, Cao County, Heze District, Shandong Province.
