How to cook yam

Honey Yam

Ingredients: 500g yam, 20g wolfberry, 150g sugar, 2 teaspoons (10ml) of osmanthus sauce, and oil.

Honey yam method:

1. Wear gloves, wash and peel the yam, cut it into 1 cm square and 5 cm long strips, soak it in water to prevent oxidation and blackening, remove it and drain it before use. Soak the wolfberry in water until soft and set aside.

2. Put enough oil in the pot (enough to cover the yam), heat it to 70% hot, put in the yam segments and fry over medium heat until slightly yellow, then remove and drain the oil.

3. Pour out the oil in the pot, clean the pot, add appropriate amount of water (about 100ml), and add sugar to boil.

4. When the sugar water becomes thick like syrup, add yam and wolfberry and stir-fry evenly.

5. Add osmanthus sauce and stir well before serving.
