Round leaf type has round leaves, oval to elliptical, large and fleshy leaves, short and wide petioles, and high oxalic acid content, spring and summer spinach mostly belongs to this type.

The quality requirements for spinach: dark green in color, red roots, no water, young stems and leaves, no sprouts or flowers, and no yellow or rotten leaves.
