1. Ingredients for Whole Grains Porridge

The main ingredients are red beans, black beans, lotus seeds, dried dates, raisins, wolfberries, and oatmeal. If you want to adjust the taste, you can also add some purple taro and yam.

2. How to make five-grain porridge

Step 1: Wash. Wash the grains several times until all the impurities are removed, and then soak them for a while.

Step 2: Cut and prepare. Cut the soaked lotus seeds and dried dates into shreds , and wash the purple sweet potatoes and yam and cut them into cubes.

Step 3: Boil water. When cooking whole grain porridge , add more water, because the subsequent grains will absorb more water, making the porridge dry and mushy.

Step 4: Add ingredients. After the water boils, add red beans, black beans, lotus seeds and oatmeal. Yams, raisins and wolfberries are easier to cook, and cooking them for too long will cause nutrient loss, so add yams and other ingredients last and stir constantly to prevent sticking.

Step 5: Seasoning. When the sweet potatoes and yam are cooked, you can add rock sugar to season it. If you like a healthy taste, don't add too much sugar.
