The efficacy and usage of perilla leaves

The efficacy and usage of perilla leaves

Perilla leaf is a special food and medicine. It is mostly used as a traditional Chinese medicine in China, but is a common ingredient in cooking in Japan and South Korea. It has a natural aroma, can remove fishy smells and enhance freshness, and can also detoxify. It has many other effects and functions, which I will introduce to you in detail later, and also give you a specific understanding of the amount of perilla to be used.

Efficacy and function

1. Prevent cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases

Perilla leaves are the leaves of the plant Perilla, which are rich in unsaturated fatty acids. When people eat them, they can clear the cholesterol accumulated in the blood vessels and inhibit the body's absorption of fat. They can also lower the triglyceride content in the blood, soften blood vessels and prevent the three highs from affecting the high incidence of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in humans. They have a significant preventive effect.

2. Treat colds

Perilla leaves have a significant therapeutic effect on common colds. When people catch a cold, they can directly boil 10 grams of perilla leaves, five scallions, and three slices of ginger together to drink. In addition, when people have a cold, they can also use perilla leaves to treat headaches, but when treating, they need to boil the perilla leaves with cinnamon and scallions together to drink.

3. Anti-inflammatory and anti-diarrhea

Anti-inflammatory and antidiarrheal is also one of the main effects of perilla leaves. When people suffer from acute gastroenteritis, diarrhea or abdominal pain, they can be treated directly with perilla leaves. During treatment, you need to take 10 grams of perilla leaves, 10 grams of patchouli, and 6 grams of tangerine peel, add water and boil them together for oral administration.

4. Delaying aging

Eating more sparsely cotyledons can also delay aging, because the linoleic acid contained in the branches and leaves has a significant protective effect on the human brain and can reduce the occurrence of Alzheimer's disease. In addition, it also contains some superoxide dismutase, which can nourish and whiten the skin and delay aging.

Dosage

Perilla leaves are non-toxic and warm in nature. There is no clear regulation on the amount of perilla leaves people usually use. When people take dried perilla leaves, the maximum amount should not exceed 50 grams. If you eat fresh perilla leaves as vegetables, you can eat more, but the daily intake should not exceed 500 grams.
