How to make mushroom and cucumber porridge

1: Wash the rice and soak it in a small spoonful of vegetable oil for half an hour.

2: Dice four shiitake mushrooms, a 10cm long cucumber, a carrot and ginger and set aside.

3: Put rice and ginger into the pot and cook them together. After boiling, pour in diced mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes. When the mushrooms are 70% cooked, pour in diced carrots. Now cook until the rice, mushrooms and carrots are cooked. Finally, pour in cucumber and mix well. Cover the pot and simmer for a while.

1. It is suitable for people with fever, obesity, high blood pressure, high blood fat, edema, cancer, and alcoholics; and it is one of the first choice foods for diabetics;

2. However, people with weak spleen and stomach, abdominal pain and diarrhea, cold lung and cough should eat less cucumber, because cucumber is cold in nature, and eating cucumber can easily cause abdominal pain and diarrhea in patients with cold stomach. Cucumber is the fruit of the Cucurbitaceae plant, genus Cucumber, an annual vine or climbing herb with slender stems, longitudinal ridges, and short bristles. It was brought back by Zhang Qian during the Han Dynasty when he was on a diplomatic mission to the Western Regions.

Cucumber has shallow root system and weak regeneration ability. Stem is creeping, up to 3 meters long, with branches. Leaves are palmate, large and thin, with fine serrations on the margins. Flowers are usually unisexual, monoecious. Fruit is cucurbit, several centimeters to more than 70 centimeters long. Young fruit color ranges from milky white to dark green. Fruit surface is smooth or with white, brown or black nodules. Some fruits have a bitter taste from cucurbitacin. Seeds are flat, oblong, with light yellow seed coat.

Cucumber is a thermophilic crop. The optimum temperature for seed germination is 25-30℃, and the optimum temperature for growth is 18-32℃. Cucumber has strict requirements on soil moisture conditions. Sufficient water is required during the growth period, but the root system cannot tolerate hypoxia or high concentration of soil nutrients. The soil pH value should be 5.5-7.2.
