Introduction to Kuncao Congee

[Source]: Private

[Ingredients]: 30-60 grams of fresh Kuncao (or 15-30 grams of dried product), 100 grams of japonica rice, and appropriate amount of brown sugar.

〖Preparation〗: Boil water to extract juice from Kuncao, add rice and brown sugar to cook porridge.

[Usage]: Take twice a day, warm, and stop taking when you recover.

〖Efficacy〗: Expectorant and hemostatic. Suitable for women with postpartum lochia that is sticky, uncomfortable, small in amount, dark purple with lumps, and lower abdominal pain that refuses to be pressed.

〖Remarks〗: Do not use this product if you have persistent lochia caused by deficiency of Qi and blood.

Appendix: Other related dietary therapies

1. 60 grams of tofu pot cake, a piece of tofu skin, an egg, an appropriate amount of white sugar, add water and cook until cooked. Eat one bowl a day on an empty stomach in the morning to treat postpartum lochia, spotting, back pain, and leucorrhea.

2. Grind dried lotus leaves (fried until fragrant) into fine powder, take 10 grams each time, with urine of children, to treat postpartum heart pain and retained lochia.

3. Boil eggs with motherwort: add 30-60g of motherwort to water and boil for half an hour, filter out the dregs, beat in two eggs and cook until cooked. It has the effects of regulating menstruation and promoting blood circulation, reducing swelling and promoting diuresis. It is suitable for symptoms such as qi and blood stasis, irregular menstruation, postpartum lochia, and functional uterine bleeding.
