1. Prepare materials

To make ketchup at home, you need to prepare 3 to 4 fresh ripe tomatoes, 150 grams of sugar, an appropriate amount of table salt, and a clean glass bottle.

2. Processing materials

Wash the prepared tomatoes with clean water, then make a cross on their surface with a knife. Put the tomatoes in a small bowl, pour in boiling water, cover it and let it simmer for a while, then take it out, remove all the tomato skin, and cut the tomato flesh into thin slices.

3. Make tomato sauce

Put the sliced ​​tomato in the pot, add the prepared sugar and salt, and then turn on the fire to cook. After boiling, turn down the heat and simmer slowly over medium-low heat. Stir back and forth with chopsticks during the cooking process until the tomatoes in the pot become a thick paste before turning off the heat. After it cools down, take out the homemade tomato sauce, put it in a clean glass bottle, and store it in the refrigerator. You can take it out and eat it whenever you want.

Before making it, it is best to prepare a food processor, then peel the prepared fresh tomatoes and cut them into pieces, then put them into the food processor, add the prepared white sugar, let the food processor start working, and beat the tomatoes into puree.

2. Take out the tomato puree made with the food processor and put it in a pot and cook it. After boiling, stir it back and forth with chopsticks and slowly cook it into a thick sauce. The homemade tomato sauce is ready. After it cools down, take it out and put it in a bottle and refrigerate it.
