Hot Pot Porridge

Have you heard of Hedi Congee? If you haven't heard of it, please read the following introduction.

Hot Pot Porridge

Although porridge is simple, it is full of great wisdom for health preservation. There are hundreds of common porridges, such as mung bean porridge, jujube porridge, lotus seed porridge, lentil porridge, almond porridge... Any food can be made into porridge, which also reflects the tolerance and breadth of porridge.

But it is quite a science to know which porridge to drink for which person. People suffering from summer heat should drink mung bean porridge, because mung bean can clear away heat and detoxify; people suffering from wind-cold should drink ginger porridge, because ginger can warm the middle and dispel cold, and connect the spirit. The ancients had a saying "autumn ginger can extend the life of the short-lived", which means that autumn ginger can make people who were originally short-lived live to a full life span.

For obesity caused by qi deficiency, I recommend lotus stalk porridge. Lotus stalk is the stalk of lotus leaf, which includes the base of lotus leaf and part of the leaf around the petiole.

Let's first get to know the lotus plant. The lotus grows out of the mud without being stained, and lives in the water without being submerged by the water. Among the five elements of gold, wood, water, fire, and earth, it occupies three elements. It is born in the earth and inherits the earth's energy. It lives in the water and absorbs the water's energy. When it grows into a plant, it also contains the wood's energy. The whole lotus is a treasure. The rhizome is the lotus root, which has the effect of appetizing and digesting food; the lotus seed heart can clear the heart fire; the lotus leaf can clear heat and cool the blood, and lower blood lipids; and the lotus stalk can generate vitality and replenish the spleen and stomach. The lotus stalk is in the middle part of the lotus. It has the effect of clearing the heart fire above the lotus seed heart and replenishing the spleen and stomach below the lotus root. It can generate vitality. It is most suitable for fat people with qi deficiency to cook porridge with it.
