During the attack period, it is advisable to eat small meals frequently, mainly soft foods, such as soft rice, pasta, porridge, lotus root powder, soy milk, oranges, etc. The diet should be regular at ordinary times, and raw, cold, dry, hard and fried foods should be avoided, such as raw radish, persimmon, fried peanuts, fried fish, roasted chicken, etc. It is also not advisable to drink alcohol, strong tea and coffee, which can increase gastric acid and affect the healing of ulcers. People with excessive gastric acid should not eat foods that are too sour, such as vinegar, plums, lemons, sour apples, and spicy foods such as chili, mustard, and pepper. They can stimulate ulcers and cause upper abdominal pain.
