Burdock porridge

Burdock - commonly known as "Niu Dali", which is pronounced as "Wu Mu" in Taiwanese. It is rich in water, carbohydrates, fat, protein, vitamins A, B1, C, and minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, potassium, and iron. The most special thing is that burdock contains a lot of cellulose, which can stimulate large intestine peristalsis, help defecation, lower cholesterol in the body, prevent toxins and waste from accumulating in the body, and can effectively prevent stroke and stomach cancer.

1. Remove the skin of burdock, wash and slice; wash pork tendon, cut into strips and set aside.

2. Take a deep pot, add 12 cups of water, bring to a boil over high heat, then add the washed rice, turn to low heat and continue cooking for 30 minutes. Add the burdock from step 1 and cook for 20 minutes. Add the pork tendon from step 1 and continue cooking for 10 minutes. Season before serving.

Burdock is also known as burdock, and its seeds are called niupangzi or dalizi. It belongs to the Asteraceae family. Its roots are fleshy and can be eaten.

Seeds: pungent, neutral, non-toxic. Roots: sweet, cold, non-toxic.

Burdock seeds contain arctiin, which can produce arctiin and glucose after hydrolysis. In addition, it also contains vitamin B, a small amount of alkaloids and fatty oil. The main components of the oil are palmitic acid, stearic acid, arachidic acid, oleic acid, α-linoleic acid and arctiinol.

Burdock seeds are antipyretic and detoxifying drugs, and have diuretic and pus-discharging effects. Roots and leaves: Strengthening, diuretic, promoting metabolism and blood circulation, regulating menstruation and facilitating bowel movements, suitable for cerebral hemorrhage, beriberi and other symptoms, and have anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects when used externally.

6 grams of burdock seeds, 3 grams each of platycodon and licorice, decoct in water, remove the residue, and swallow it frequently.

6 grams of burdock seeds, stir-fry and grind into fine powder, add 1 li of angelica sinensis, grind together, take twice a day with warm yellow wine.

Drinking a proper amount of burdock root soup can detoxify, promote diuresis and prevent pneumonia.

Mash fresh burdock root and squeeze the juice to drip into the ear, several times a day.

Apply burdock root or leaf juice several times a day.

Cooking fresh burdock root has certain anti-cancer effects on gastric cancer, cervical cancer, etc.

Cook burdock root into porridge in appropriate amounts and eat it. It is also good for those suffering from hemiplegia caused by a stroke.

Mash the fresh roots and squeeze out the juice, drink half a cup of warm juice, 2 to 3 times a day.
