Introduction to Su Ma Congee

Suma, also known as white perilla, red perilla, red perilla, fragrant perilla, black perilla, white perilla, green perilla, wild perilla, Suma, Sucao, Tang perilla, Guili, wrinkled perilla, etc., is the only species under the genus Perilla of the Lamiaceae family. It is an annual herb and is mainly produced in Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hunan and other central and southern regions, the Himalayas, Japan, Myanmar, the Korean Peninsula, India, Nepal have also introduced this species, and it also grows in North America. It has a long history of cultivation in my country. Suma is both a food and a medicine. The oil content and linolenic acid of perilla seeds are relatively high. 10 grams of Astragalus, 50 grams of perilla seeds, 50 grams of hemp seeds, and 250 grams of polished rice.

Introduction to the production method of Suma

Wash and dry the astragalus, perilla and hemp seeds, grind them into fine powder, add 200 ml of warm water, stir vigorously, and when the coarse particles sink, take out the medicinal juice for later use. Wash the polished rice and cook porridge with the medicinal juice.

Health Tips

It is suitable for constipation caused by qi deficiency. Astragalus is slightly warm in nature and sweet in taste. It has the effects of replenishing qi and strengthening the exterior, stopping sweating and detoxifying, promoting tissue regeneration, promoting diuresis, and reducing swelling. It is used to treat qi deficiency and fatigue, sinking of the middle qi, chronic diarrhea and prolapse of the anus, bloody stool and metrorrhagia, spontaneous sweating due to exterior deficiency, carbuncle that is difficult to ulcerate, long-term ulceration that does not heal, blood deficiency and sallow complexion, internal heat and thirst, chronic nephritis, proteinuria, diabetes, etc. Roasted Astragalus can replenish qi and strengthen the middle qi, while raw Astragalus can strengthen the exterior and support sores.
