How to make seafood porridge

1.) Add 4 cups of water to the bones and boil into a broth. Add rice and scallops and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes until it becomes a thick porridge.

2.) After the thick porridge is cooked, add shrimp, squid or oysters and other seafood and bring to a boil. Season with seasonings and serve.

3.) Sprinkle some sesame oil and chopped celery before serving.

4.) The ingredients can be added according to personal preference, such as fried dough sticks, preserved eggs and minced meat, to make preserved egg and lean meat porridge.

Seafood and fruit are both "cold" foods, and eating a lot of seafood can easily cause diarrhea.

In addition, fish, shrimp, crab and other seafood are rich in nutrients such as protein and calcium. If they are eaten with fruits containing tannic acid, such as grapes, pomegranates, hawthorns, persimmons, etc., it will not only reduce the nutritional value of protein, but also easily make the calcium in seafood and tannic acid combine to form a new indigestible substance. This substance will stimulate the stomach and intestines, causing discomfort to the human body, with symptoms such as vomiting, dizziness, nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, etc. in mild cases, and gastrointestinal bleeding in severe cases.

It is best to wait an hour before eating fruit. If you have gastrointestinal discomfort, you can use a handful of mung beans to boil and drink the soup to detoxify. After boiling the mung beans, keep it for 5 minutes. It is not necessary to boil the beans until they are mushy. Just wait until the soup is green, and then drink the soup.
