How to make dried mulberries at home How to dry mulberries easily

I remember when I was a child, there was a big mulberry tree at home. Every spring, it was full of mulberries. When the mulberries were ripe, they would turn black or dark red, making people drool. After the mulberries fell, we would pick them up with a basket and eat them. If we couldn't finish them, my mother would make them into dried mulberries. Let's take a look at how to make homemade dried mulberries.

How to make dried mulberries at home

The method is actually very simple. Pick some mulberries with full grains and bring them home. You can also go to the supermarket to buy them. The black or dark red ones are more mature and suitable for making dried mulberries. After washing the mulberries, put them in the sun to dry them, so that some of the moisture can be removed. Then, put the mulberries in the dryer to dry. Do not dry them all at once. Bake them for a few minutes, let them air dry for a while, and then bake them again until they are completely dry.

How to dry mulberries easily

1. Harvesting fruits

To make dried mulberries, you need to collect fully mature mulberries, which are very sticky to the touch and taste very sweet. After collecting these fruits and returning home, wash them in clean water and then put them in a cool place to dry them in the shade.

2. Dry mulberries

Hang a few ropes on the roof and hang the shade-dried mulberries on them. The reason for choosing the roof is that the sun is strong enough and the air permeability is very strong. After hanging it for three or four days, the mulberry ears and grains will gradually fall off. At this time, they should be cleaned up in time. The fallen grains and ears should also be exposed to the sun.

3. Processing finished products

After the mulberries on the roof are exposed to the sun for about a week, they can be completely turned into dried mulberries. Shake the rope with your hands to make the dried mulberries fall down. Collect the dried mulberries and blow them with a windmill to remove the dry leaves, shrunken mulberries and impurities. Next, put the dried mulberries in a clean plastic bag for storage.
