After purchasing raw chestnuts, you can store them directly in the refrigerator. Before storage, it is best to remove the outer shell and inner film coating of the fresh chestnuts to obtain the chestnut pulp, put it in a sealable fresh-keeping bag, seal the mouth, and then put it in the refrigerator. This way, it can be stored for several months without deterioration.

2. Cryopreservation

Fresh raw chestnuts can be stored in the refrigerator at home or in the freezer. Before storage, you need to remove the shell of the fresh chestnut, get the flesh inside, seal it with plastic wrap and put it directly into the freezer of the refrigerator. 1. Save with sand

Only a small amount of raw chestnuts can be stored in the refrigerator at home. If you want to store more raw chestnuts, you can use yellow sand. Before storing, it is best to prepare a larger jar, sprinkle yellow sand in it, and then put a layer of fresh chestnuts, then a layer of yellow sand, and then another layer of chestnuts, and repeat this process. The top layer should be covered with yellow sand. You can spray water on the yellow sand frequently, so that the raw chestnuts inside can remain fresh.

2. Air-dry and store

Fresh raw chestnuts can also be air-dried before storage, so that they can be preserved for a longer period of time. To preserve them, you can buy fresh raw chestnuts and soak them in cold water for 7 to 10 days. After soaking, take them out, drain the water and put them in a basket, then hang them in a cool and ventilated environment to let them dry naturally.
