Ingredients for homemade bayberry juice

When you make bayberry juice at home, the ingredients you need to prepare are very simple. You only need 500 grams of fresh bayberry, 200 grams of rock sugar, one kilogram of water, and an appropriate amount of table salt.

Steps

1. Put the prepared edible salt in water, add appropriate amount of clean water, mix it with your hands to make light salt water, and then soak the prepared fresh bayberry directly in the light salt water. The soaking time should not be less than one hour.

2. The surface of fresh bayberry is not smooth, and there will be many small insects or insect eggs remaining on it. During the soaking process in light salt water, these small insects and insect eggs will all precipitate into the water. After soaking, take out the fresh bayberry, rinse it with clean water several times, and after rinsing, remove the water and set aside.

3. Take a clean basin, put the processed fresh bayberry in the basin and then add the prepared rock sugar, mix them evenly with clean chopsticks, and marinate with plastic wrap for 3 to 5 hours.

4. After being pickled with rock sugar, the fresh bayberries will produce a large amount of fresh bayberry juice. Then put them into the pot together, add the prepared water, heat and bring to a boil, then cook for about five minutes and turn off the heat.

5. Let the bayberry juice in the pot cool down naturally. After cooling down, take it out and put it into a clean glass bottle, seal it and store it in the refrigerator. Take it out after 3 to 5 hours and drink it directly. After the bayberry juice is made, you can also put it directly in a cup, add ice cubes prepared in advance, and drink it directly. At this time, the bayberry juice can also be refreshing and delicious.
