How to store lychees How to store lychees

1. Lychees can be stored at low temperatures

When you buy fresh lychees, you can store them in a low-temperature environment. The best way is to put the lychees in a sealable health-care bag, seal it, and then put it in a cool place. You can also soak it in water. This way, the lychees can be stored for four or five days without deteriorating or changing color, and they will still be fresh when eaten.

2. Lychees can be preserved with mugwort leaves

You can also use mugwort to preserve lychees after purchasing them. The specific method is to put the lychees in a bag, add an appropriate amount of mugwort and seal it. Mugwort can reduce inflammation and kill bacteria, and it can also be a preservative. Putting it in the same environment as the lychees can extend the shelf life of the lychees, allowing it to be stored for five or six days without deterioration, and it will remain fresh.

3. Litchi is preserved by heating and exhaust method

When storing lychees, you can take out the pulp and add sugar water, and put them together in a degassing tank for heating and degassing. After processing, take them out and you will get lychees in sugar water. You can seal it and keep the lychee flesh inside for a long time without deteriorating. However, when you take it out and eat it, the lychees have absorbed a lot of sugar and the taste has changed to a certain extent. In other words, although the lychees stored in this way do not deteriorate, they are not as delicious as fresh lychees.
