2. How to make red date glutinous rice jelly

Step 1: Wash and peel the red dates.

Step 2: Cut the red dates into half pieces and put them into a steamer and steam them for 20 minutes. If you don’t have a steamer, you can use a microwave oven on high heat to heat the red dates. The effect will be achieved in five minutes.

Step 3: After the cooked red dates have cooled down a little, use a spoon to mash them into red date paste. At the same time, you can add a spoonful of honey. Mix the red date paste and honey thoroughly.

Step 4: Add the prepared walnut kernels, raisins and wolfberries to the red date paste. Mix well and the red date paste needed for the jelly is ready.

Step 5: Steam the glutinous rice in a steamer and put it into a square container. To prevent the glutinous rice from sticking to the wall of the container, you can apply some olive oil first.

Step 6: Put the red date filling on the glutinous rice and spread it flat with a spatula. Cover it with another layer of glutinous rice and spread it flat as well.

Step 7: After putting it in the refrigerator to freeze, the red date glutinous rice jelly is ready.
