Hawthorn Glutinous Rice Soup

Material:

Some dried hawthorn, 1 can of hawthorn sauce, some glutinous rice, a little rock sugar

You can use hawthorn cake to make this drink. Mash the hawthorn cake into a paste. I choose my favorite canned hawthorn jam, which tastes particularly good and saves the trouble of pressing the paste. When choosing hawthorn jam, choose the one with a fine texture and no particles.

Dried hawthorn can be bought in general supermarkets. It is easy to preserve. You can buy more at a time. In addition to making drinks, you can also use it to cook dishes, such as hawthorn bean paste, hawthorn meat cubes, and add it to stewed meat~

You can add rock sugar or not. If you think it is sweet enough, you don’t need to add more.

You can choose long or round glutinous rice. The kind of glutinous rice with a long shape is also glutinous rice.

Hawthorn glutinous rice soup method:

1. Wash the glutinous rice and soak it in clean water for a while. The glutinous rice will be easier to cook after soaking. You can also wash the dried hawthorn with clean water to remove the floating soil on it.

2. If you are using hawthorn cake, use a knife to press it into a paste and put it into a container for later use. If you are using hawthorn jam like me, just scoop the hawthorn jam into a small bowl, stir it with a spoon, and you can get hawthorn paste in an instant.

3. Take a soup pot, add appropriate amount of water, bring to a boil, then put in dried hawthorn and cook until the hawthorn is soft.

4. Take out the cooked dried hawthorn, and the pot will contain the hawthorn water we need. Now pour in the soaked glutinous rice. The ratio of water to glutinous rice is the same as that for cooking porridge. Just control the ratio of water to rice as you usually do for making porridge.

5. Cook until the glutinous rice is cooked, and finally pour in the hawthorn puree. You can put more hawthorn puree to make it taste better. It is best not to put too much hawthorn puree at once. You can taste it while adding it until you are satisfied with it. After adding the hawthorn puree, cook for a while and then turn off the heat.

6. After the hawthorn glutinous rice soup is cooled, put it in the refrigerator and eat it after refrigeration.
