1. Fertilization management of passion fruit

Passion fruit is a special fruit tree that requires a lot of nutrients. Before planting this fruit tree, you must apply enough base fertilizer before planting the passion fruit seedlings. The base fertilizer for passion fruit should be mainly farmyard manure and tung oil cake. After planting, you should also apply topdressing regularly, and more than half of the compound fertilizer should be added during topdressing. However, after it blooms, you cannot apply a large amount of nitrogen-containing fertilizer.

2. Pruning and management of passion fruit

The main branches of passion fruit grow very fast, so they must be controlled manually after planting. When the main branches grow to about one meter, they should be pinched to promote the growth of side vines. Then, when the side vines grow to about one and a half meters, they should be pinched again to allow passion fruit to branch out quickly. If their growth cannot be controlled after pinching, these branches should be tied down to control their growth.

3. Management of passion fruit pests and diseases

During the growth process of passion fruit, stem rot and lignification virus disease are its common diseases. After passion fruit is infected, it should be taken seriously and treated with medicine in time. In addition, when passion fruit is attacked by pests such as red spider mites and fruit flies, it should also be treated in time with malathion diluted with liquid medicine.
