How to grow hyacinth

Hyacinth is a plant with strong vitality. It can be grown not only in soil but also in water. But no matter which cultivation method is chosen, its bulbs must be sterilized before planting. Only in this way can it prevent root rot after planting.

How to grow hyacinth

1. When growing hyacinths, you should first disinfect the bulbs, remove the dry old skin and roots, soak them in potassium permanganate solution for a quarter of an hour, then take them out to remove the moisture on the surface, and then put them in a ventilated environment to dry for a day.

2. Prepare loose and fertile soil in the flowerpot, and plant the treated hyacinth bulbs directly into the soil. The soil should not cover the bulbs more than two centimeters at their highest point. If you want to plant hyacinths in water, put enough clean water in the vase, add an appropriate amount of nutrient solution, and then place the hyacinth bulbs in the vase.

Precautions for growing hyacinths

During the cultivation of hyacinth, you must pay attention to maintenance. Within ten days after planting it, it is best to place it in a warm environment for germination. After it blooms, you need to adjust the growth temperature to keep the ambient temperature at around 20 degrees, so that it can grow quickly. After hyacinth enters the flowering period, you need to lower the ambient temperature. You can move it indoors for cultivation and reduce the light time, which can effectively extend its flowering period.
