The difference between Dianthus and Acacia, the cultivation method of Dianthus

Dianthus and Acacia are not particularly beautiful ornamental plants. They both have beautiful racemose flowers and belong to the Caryophyllaceae family. People often mistake them for the same plant. In fact, there are many differences between Dianthus and Acacia. You can find them as long as you understand them carefully. Next, I will introduce the differences between Dianthus and Acacia, and let you know more about the cultivation methods of Dianthus.

The difference between Dianthus and Acacia

1. Although both dianthus and acacia belong to the Caryophyllaceae family, there is a clear difference in the forms of the flowers of these two plants. The leaves of dianthus are relatively long and lanceolate, and the flowers are relatively large with serrated edges, while acacia is a horticultural plant variety. Its plant is more sturdy than the former, and its flower petals are more varied, with many flowers clustered together, making it more ornamental than dianthus.

2. There is also a very obvious difference in the color of the flowers of Dianthus and Acacia. Dianthus can bloom purple flowers in large numbers after entering the flowering period, while Acacia can bloom skin-colored flowers after entering the flowering period. The flowers of this plant have red petals with white edges, which are particularly beautiful.

How to cultivate Dianthus

1. Dianthus can be cultivated as an ornamental plant. When growing it at home, be sure to choose breathable, loose and fertile sandy soil for it, apply enough decomposed organic fertilizer in the soil, then plant it in a flowerpot, water it with enough water, and place it in an environment with suitable sunlight.

2. The cultivation method of Dianthus seems simple, but there are many things to pay attention to during the cultivation process. First of all, you must pay attention to the supply of water and fertilizer. This plant prefers a humid environment and should be watered every 3 to 4 days, but water must not be allowed to accumulate in the pot when watering. In addition, it should be topdressed every 15 to 20 days. Choose cellular liquid fertilizer. During normal cultivation, it cannot be exposed to strong light, otherwise it will affect the normal growth of Dianthus.

Today, I will focus on teaching you the differences between Dianthus and Acacia, so that you can understand the differences between these two similar plants. Later, I will also introduce you to the cultivation methods of Dianthus. If you like it, you can follow the methods introduced above. I believe everyone can grow the beautiful Dianthus well.
