How to grow mint? Mint cultivation methods and precautions

People often eat foods with a mint flavor, but they don't know much about mint. In fact, mint is a beautiful herb with green leaves and high ornamental value. It can be made into potted plants and grown at home. But when growing mint, you must master the correct way to grow it and know what to pay attention to during the growing process.

How to grow mint? How to grow mint

1. Appropriate light

When growing mint, you must make sure it is exposed to moderate light. Although this plant likes plenty of sunlight, it cannot be placed under strong light during the cultivation process. Under normal circumstances, mint should be cultivated in the sun for 2 to 3 days, and then moved indoors, which is conducive to the release of its minty aroma.

2. Suitable temperature

When growing mint, you must pay attention to regulating the ambient temperature. This plant grows fastest when the ambient temperature is between 20 and 30 degrees, but it is also relatively cold-resistant. As long as the temperature does not drop below zero in winter, it will not die. However, too low a temperature will cause the mint to enter a dormant state.

Things to note when growing mint

1. When growing mint, you should pay more attention when watering. This plant likes a humid environment and is relatively resistant to moisture. During its growing season, you should water it sufficiently to keep the soil moist, but the soil in the pot should not be allowed to become wet, otherwise the mint plant will grow too tall, the leaves will fall off, and diseases will be prevalent.

2. When growing mint, you should also pay attention to turning the pot in time. It should be repotted once every spring. This plant does not have high requirements for soil, but it grows fastest in fertile, loose and well-drained soil. When you repot it, you should choose nutrient soil made of leaf mold, garden soil, coarse sand and other materials. After repotting, you should water it in time and put it in a cool place to slow down the growth of the seedlings.
