Cultivation methods and precautions of large-leafed green radish

The big-leafed green radish is an evergreen foliage plant. It is an important member of the green radish family. However, this green radish has thicker branches and leaves than ordinary green radishes. It has a stronger air purification function. It can be cultivated indoors to beautify the environment and purify the indoor air. But how should this big-leafed green radish be cultivated? What should be paid attention to during its cultivation?

How to grow big leaf green radish

1. Nutrient soil

When cultivating large-leafed green radish, you must prepare suitable nutrient soil for it. This plant likes loose, slightly acidic soil rich in organic matter. When preparing nutrient soil yourself, you can choose 70% compound leaf soil and 20% red soil, and then add 10% bone meal to mix and ferment.

2. Humidity and temperature

When growing green radish, humidity and temperature are two important conditions. It likes a moist and warm environment. If the air is too dry, you should spray water on its leaves in time, or you can place a humidifier indoors. The plant of green radish grows in an environment of about 25 degrees. The fastest winter temperature should be kept above ten degrees. If the indoor temperature drops below seven degrees, it will stop growing, and in severe cases the leaves will turn yellow and fall off.

Precautions for growing large-leafed green radish

1. When you grow big-leafed green radish, you must pay attention to the fact that it is a shade-loving plant and is not very phototropic. You can usually put it in a place with sufficient scattered light, but it is best not to put it in direct sunlight. In addition, after entering winter, big-leafed green radish should be kept away from heating, air conditioning and other heating equipment, otherwise its leaves will be damaged.

2. When cultivating the big-leafed green radish, you should also pay attention to the choice of fertilizer. Although it is a fertilizer-loving plant, ordinary inorganic fertilizers are difficult to be absorbed by the big-leafed green radish after application, so special compound fertilizers should be applied to it. In addition, when fertilizing the big-leafed green radish, you should also pay attention to the fact that in addition to applying compound fertilizers, you can also spray liquid inorganic fertilizers on its leaves.
