Cultivation methods and precautions of Schefflera

Schefflera arborvitae has glossy green leaves and is evergreen all year round. It is the most suitable foliage plant to be grown at home. It can be placed in the study or living room. It can beautify the indoor environment, purify the indoor air, and please the body and mind. But how should this Schefflera arborvitae be cultivated? What should you pay attention to when raising a Schefflera arborvitae?

Farming methods

1. Choose the right soil

When you grow a Schefflera at home, you must choose the right soil. It likes fertile, loose, breathable, slightly acidic soil. When preparing the potting soil, it is best to choose leaf mold or garden soil and add a small amount of river sand and perlite. Finally, add an appropriate amount of cake fertilizer as base fertilizer.

2. Planting method

When transplanting Schefflera into a flowerpot, be sure to choose strong seedlings with well-developed root systems, and choose spring or autumn for transplanting. Before transplanting, put a layer of magic magic at the bottom of the flowerpot to increase its air permeability. After transplanting Schefflera into the flowerpot, water it sufficiently, compact the soil, and place it in a semi-shaded environment for a week to slow down the growth, and then slowly move it to a sunny environment for normal cultivation.

3. Water appropriately

There is a lot of knowledge about watering when growing Schefflera. It is not like what people think that the more water you water, the better. Normally, just keep the soil moist and water it every 3 to 5 days during its growing season, but be sure not to let water accumulate in the pot. When the weather is dry, spray water near its leaves in time. Only in this way can its leaves remain shiny and green.

Notes on breeding

When growing Schefflera, you must pay attention to the fact that this plant has poor cold resistance and must be placed in a warm environment in winter. If its growing environment is below ten degrees, the leaves will wither and turn yellow. When the temperature drops to around zero degrees, its leaves will fall off in large numbers. In severe cases, it will die due to low temperature.
