Cultivation methods and precautions of Jindalai

Rhododendron is also called infinite flower, or azalea, which is a kind of azalea. In nature, it grows mostly in hillside grasslands and bushes. It has strong vitality and colorful flowers. It can beautify the environment and can also be used as medicine. Many people like this beautiful rhododendron in life and want to make it into a potted plant and grow it at home, but they don’t know how to grow it. Today I will write down all the methods and precautions for its cultivation. Those of you who like rhododendron will understand it after reading it.

Farming methods

1. Correct soil preparation

When growing azalea at home, the soil configuration is very important, because azalea likes slightly acidic soil with strong permeability and good drainage, and rich in humus. Alkaline soil or clay soil must not be used. When preparing the pot, you can use one part of dry moss clippings, two parts of dry rotten leaves, and one part of dry fertilizer.

2. Flowerpot selection

The choice of flower pots for growing azalea is also very important. It is best to use clay pots or purple sand pots for cultivation, because clay pots are breathable and have good water quality, which is conducive to the development of the root system. Those azalea flowers that have grown into shape are suitable for planting in beautiful and colorful purple sand pots, which can increase its ornamental value.

3. Fertilizer and water management

When growing azaleas, you cannot directly use tap water at home to irrigate them. You need to use river water or pond water. If conditions do not allow, you can put tap water in a basin and dry it for two or three days, then add 2% ferrous sulfate and mix it thoroughly before using it. Azaleas are fertilizer-loving plants. During their peak growth season, they need to be fertilized every ten days. It is best to choose multiple cake fertilizers or fish meal. Human feces and urine must not be used, otherwise the soil will become alkaline, which is not conducive to the growth of azaleas.

Precautions

When growing rhododendrons, you must pay attention to pruning. Only in this way can you improve its ornamental value, especially after the flowers fade, you need to shape it, cut off its overgrown branches, sick branches, and deformed branches, and after pruning, apply callus preservative film to the cut wounds to speed up the healing of the wounds. This will make the rhododendrons grow better next year and grow more healthy branches.
