Cultivation methods and precautions of azalea

Azalea is one of the seven famous flowers in China. It is the most popular beautiful flower in life. It has strong vitality and can grow in nature or be made into potted plants and cultivated at home. The flowers are brightly colored and have high ornamental value. Its flowers and roots can also be used as medicine. However, if you want to grow azalea well, you must have a comprehensive understanding of its cultivation methods and know what to pay attention to when growing azalea. Today, the editor will talk about these issues in detail.

Farming methods

1. Breeding environment

It is best to grow azaleas in both indoor and outdoor environments. The indoor environment is suitable for growing azaleas in winter, while the outdoor environment is suitable for summer and autumn. The site for growing azaleas should be spacious and well ventilated. A proper amount of salt shed should be built on it. The light transmittance is most suitable at 30%, and sunset should be avoided.

2. Soil requirements

The soil requirements for azalea cultivation are also relatively high. It likes loose, fertile, air-permeable, and well-drained acidic soil. Clay or alkaline soil should never be used. If you want to cultivate summer azalea and foreign azalea, you need to use mountainous land, collect soil from nature, and then add resin and other fertilizers to mix it. This is the easiest way for azalea to survive.

3. Fertilizer and water management

Fertilizer and water management is very important for azalea cultivation. It is best to use rainwater or natural river water to water azaleas. If you use tap water, it is best to take out the tap water and let it dry for 1 to 2 days, then add an appropriate amount of ferrous sulfate before using it. Azaleas do not require much fertilizer, but they should be fertilized in time before they bloom to promote the growth of flower buds. When fertilizing, the content of phosphorus fertilizer can be appropriately increased, which can effectively extend the flowering period of azaleas.

Precautions

Orchids have very thin roots, like hair, thick fibrous roots, and very few main trunks. When they are usually grown, they are afraid of both dryness and moisture, and they are afraid of heavy fertilizers. If they are watered too much or too little, it will have an adverse effect on the growth of azaleas. In addition, when growing azaleas, after the flowers fade, the remaining flowers must be cut off to avoid nutrient consumption. After the new branches sprout, they must be properly thinned out, and their removal or retention is determined according to the growth of the straight tree.
