Many people want to plant some at home, but they don’t know how to plant lilies. I will write down its planting method and tell you what to pay attention to when planting lilies.

How to plant lilies How to plant lilies

1. When planting lilies, prepare the bulbs in advance. The lily bulbs have buds on the top and roots on the bottom. If it is difficult to distinguish, you can look at its scales. As long as the scales open, there is a bud on the top. When planting lilies, you should choose those deep ceramic flower pots. Each flower pot can be planted with 2 to 3 bulbs.

2. To plant lilies, you need to prepare suitable soil. Lilies like loose, fertile, and water-retaining sandy soil. I prepare the breeding soil myself, and can prepare the right amount of mud, river sand, and perlite, with a ratio of 2:2:1. Lilies have strong vitality, and they can grow normally as long as they are not planted in sticky soil.

3. After the lily bulbs are prepared, they must be disinfected. The simplest disinfection method is to prepare a thousand times solution of carbendazim, soak the lily bulbs in the solution for half an hour to one hour. After soaking, wash them with clean water and you can directly plant them in the pot.

4. After the lily bulb is placed in the flowerpot, it should be watered enough and placed in a cool place for 4 to 5 days, and then moved to a place with sufficient scattered light. It will sprout after 7 to 10 days. Lilies do not require much sunlight during the cultivation period and cannot withstand strong light. They require more water and fertilizer during the peak growth season. Water once every three days and fertilize once every ten days.
