Cultivation methods and precautions of Aloe vera

Yuanbao Aloe, also known as Bolu, is an important member of the aloe family and one of the most popular green ornamental plants. It not only beautifies the environment, but also purifies the air. It can absorb methanol, formaldehyde and other gases in the air that are harmful to the human body, and convert them into oxygen and release them into the air. However, many people do not understand the cultivation method of Yuanbao Aloe and do not know how to grow it best. Today I will talk about this issue specifically for everyone.

How to cultivate Aloe vera

1. The cultivation environment of Aloe vera

Aloe vera is a green plant with relatively strong vitality. It has certain requirements for the growth environment when it is cultivated. It likes a warm, dry and sunny environment. It has poor cold resistance but strong drought resistance. It usually likes to grow in a semi-shaded environment. It is not tolerant to water and is afraid of strong sunlight. When cultivating Aloe vera, you should choose fertile, loose and well-drained sandy soil. It grows fastest in winter when the outside temperature is between 20 and 25 degrees. The cultivation temperature cannot be lower than eight degrees, otherwise it will die.

2. It is very important to change the pot of Aloe vera

Aloe vera is a green plant that grows relatively fast. It should be repotted once a year during the cultivation process. When repotting, the soil should be separated, and the Aloe vera should be taken out. The soil at its roots should be carefully peeled off, making sure not to damage the roots. Then the diseased roots and aging roots should be removed, and they should be directly transplanted into the prepared new pot soil. Finally, water it with enough water and place it in a semi-shaded environment to cure the seedlings before moving it to a sunny environment.

3. Fertilizer and water management of Aloe vera

Fertilizer and water management is particularly important for growing Aloe Vera. It needs sufficient water during its growth, but it is also afraid of water accumulation. If water accumulates in the flowerpot, its leaves will shrink and its roots will rot. Water control is especially important in hot summer weather. Aloe Vera does not require much fertilizer during its growth period. It can be fertilized once every month. Fertilizer should be applied using fermented cake fertilizer, organic fertilizer or compost. Water should be applied in time after fertilization to promote the root system to absorb nutrients in the fertilizer.
