How to grow daffodils? Things to note when growing daffodils

Narcissus, also known as Tiancong, Ya Garlic, Jinzhan Yintai, Yulinglong. It belongs to the Amaryllis family and is 20 to 30 cm tall. Many people like daffodils very much. As long as you master the cultivation method, it is easy to keep daffodils alive. Let's take a look at the cultivation method of daffodils.

How to grow daffodils

1. Peel the skin

First, we need to remove the outer skin of the daffodil bulb, including some dark brown skin and some dead roots, and then wash the daffodil bulb with the outer skin removed.

2. Potting

Prepare a basin in advance and put the clean bulbs in it. Choose a basin according to your preference. One thing to note is that you must keep one-third of the daffodil bulbs exposed to the air. You can also keep it in a basin for a while and then bottle it when the roots are almost grown.

3. Breeding time

If it is around September in autumn, it usually takes 3 days for white fibrous roots to grow at the bottom of the daffodil bulb, and the top of the bulb will slowly sprout and grow daffodil leaves.

4. Watering

Note that you need to change the water every day for the first 5 days after planting, and then you can adjust the water change interval according to the cleanliness of the water.

5. Fertilization

In addition, you can fertilize the daffodils 5-7 days after planting, because the roots have just grown and matured at this time, and fertilizing will not damage the roots. However, you must be careful not to change the water within 5-7 days after fertilizing.

6. Flowering time

The best temperature for growing daffodils is 12℃ to 20 degrees. Therefore, if you plant daffodils in autumn, you can see them blooming after about 40 days.

Notice

We should place the daffodils in a cool place when they are first potted, and only put them in a sunny place after the bulbs grow roots.
