Green radish cultivation methods and precautions

Green radish cultivation methods and precautions

Many people choose to grow green radish indoors, often placed in study rooms, living rooms, and offices. It can not only beautify the environment, but also bring people a pleasant mood. So what are the methods and precautions for growing green radish? Let's take a look.

How to grow green radish

1. Water more

The green radish likes moisture the most, so you should water it more often to keep the soil moist. In summer, you must water it more often and spray water on the leaves. The amount of watering depends on the amount of soil in the pot and the size of the plant.

2. Do not expose to the sun

Because it grows in the woods shaded by towering trees for a long time, the green radish is not very sun-loving, because it cannot be exposed to the sun, otherwise the new leaves will become smaller, the leaf color will become darker, and the leaf edges will be easily burned. But it cannot be completely exposed to the sun. As long as it is exposed to the sun moderately, it is still good for it to carry out photosynthesis.

3. Proper temperature

The temperature should not be too low, otherwise the green radish may be frostbitten. It is recommended to keep the room temperature at around 20 degrees. At the same time, be careful not to let the leaves of the green radish get too close to the heating equipment. As long as the indoor temperature is not lower than 10 degrees, the green radish can safely survive the winter.

4. Fertilization

Since the green ivy is grown indoors, it is difficult for it to come into contact with nutrients, so it needs to be fertilized once every half a month. There are fertilizers specifically for green ivy on the market, and it is recommended to buy some.

5. Maintain air humidity

If the air humidity is high, the green radish will grow faster, so it is recommended to maintain the indoor humidity. If necessary, you can use a humidifier to increase the air humidity.

Things to note about green radish

Be sure to choose fertile, loose, well-drained leaf mold, it is best to choose a slightly acidic soil.

It is also best to keep it in a dimly lit room, but of course it should also be given some sunlight occasionally.
